Let there be Light
I have not made much progress or preparation on the wedding. It seems to take a back seat now as the completion of the flat draws nearer. I can't seem to take the invites out of my mind though. Although I have pretty decided on the design, there are times when I am so tempted to change it a little. I am fickle in that way, perhaps I should just do them up and I will not have to think about them again!
I am guessing that it will take another week for the flat to be completed. They have wash the bathrooms (well, kinda) and the floors are polished. We have the fans fixed and now, we just need the cabinets and the cupboard fixed. We did add in some custom made shelves for the store room too. I have to remember to buy some toilet fixtures ASAP for the guys to fix them. We forgot the toilet paper holders and towel hangers! I definately need to get those tomorrow! I hate to have to drag that.

Accessing my Assets
I think I grossly under-estimated the amount of stuff that I have. Gosh. With the amount of stuff that I have, I can easily open shop sia... But I feel instantly consoled when I think of my tow other hoarder friends. If I can open shop, they can both each open a departmental store lor!
It is a great thing that I started packing my stuff because the packing never seems to end. After so many days of packing, I am only done with the books and work stuff.oh and the CDs and DVDs. and my mags as well...my scrapbooking stuff as well as my handicraft papers and items are all in boxes. I still have my cross stitch and knitting stuff sitting pretty in my room.. sigh! and the photographs! and my ornamental stuff.. and my laminating machine... and my clothes.. and my bags.. and my shoes..... and and .... you get the picture

I want to me Maggie
I went down to Ted's Collection today to discuss the designs for my 3 dresses. Yes, that is correct, THREE dresses! Hahahaha! This is my only time that I can be hiao and nobody has any right to say anything right??? hahahaha!
So my wedding gown will be off white, with a lot of lace on the top and organza for the bottom half. My evening gown will be GREEN! So drama right??? wait til you hear about my tea dress. It has red with huge yellow floral prints. When I first saw it, I do not think that it will work. But after Rick wrapped the fabric around me, that was it. I was sold! I wonder how Rick can just pin the fabric to the mannequin and make it look so good... It has a retro feel to it. Kinda reminds me of Maggie Cheung in In the Mood For Love. Very WONG KAR WAI!!!!!!!!!! I love that show. I can see it over and over and over just admiring at the beautiful two actors, amazed at how beautifully shot the movie was. so moody, so in the mood... sigh..
I have been wanting to own a cheong sam like one of those that maggie wore in the movie. SO gorgeous! I guess this will be the closest ever I will ever get. I wonder who her tailor was.. I read somewhere that it was a cheongsam shifu from Shanghai! Maybe I should hunt that shifu down and get him to make me one!
I think I should try to lose weight fast if I want to look as good as Maggie

More Progress
Seeing more work done every time I visit my place never fails to get me all excited and I really could not wait for the day when it is finally completed. It is tough containing all that excitement all inside you know....
Although it has been pretty tiring with all the decisions and minute details that we have to attend to, I have a sneaky feeling that we will look back and have a great time reminiscing.

So on with the progress...
The sink has been mounted onto the sink support ( is that what you call it? ) and the marble's half done! yay! I thought I would be really excited when I see the marble, well, I am not exactly thrilled, yah I am glad but not thrilled and shaking my booty to my happy dance. Oh well, it does not look all that great when it is not polished looking all dull and dusty... so, let's see what a little wax and polishing will do to the marble eh?

The Tiles are Up
Yep! At least the wall tiles are...
The tiles on the walls in the kitchen looks fabulous in a delicious green for the back splash and a calmer off white are the other wall. I love it!
The groovy wall tiles for both the toilets are up too!
Plenty have been done since I visited my home a week ago. Other than the tiles, the beam for the folding door is also up as well as the walls of the store room.Things start to take shape and it is getting me really excited. I am quite surrpised that one of the few things that got done are the windows. As soon as the hacking was done, the windows went right up! That was pretty unexpected.
We went shopping a few days ago. We bought an oven, a hood, a hob, a washing machine and a fridge in a matter of 30 minutes! We were done before some can even finish spelling refridgerator.....
