What a Loot!

Now that the renovation has come to an end, it was time to do some serious packing! That to my mum means clearing things she does not need. Off she went to the kitchen and out she came with plenty of stuff to give to me! There is a dining set that was given to her by my granny and now she passed them to me (sounds like some heirloom sia!). They are brown and oozes so much retro appeal. Totally cool! There are some glass bowls, glasses, baking dishes, a cake mixer, a blender and even a set of dinner knives that she bought from sell-a-vision years and years ago! I have packed most of the things that she is giving me, with the help of mum of course and my lovely brother... awwww, nice to have family eh???

Mums all have plenty of things in their kitchen that they do not use. I think when you become a mum, you just automatically becomes some kind of hoarder. I guess it is some sort of instinct. You just go on keeping, thinking that your family will need in in some time of their lives... I guess they are right. Look at my mum, those things do come in use after all! She just gives them to me! Don't you just love your mum????

Getting Started - again

After a long long pause of not doing much for the wedding, I finally forced myself to print out the invites. No big deal, but you see, it is a huge step for me! Having done that makes me go on and get it all done. I really do hope I can get all those babies done by the time I have to start shifting!

I have done up my address book too! I finally found the best way to paste the cross stitch onto the cover of the book. Spotlight is the best, I can find everything there! I love the way it turns out. I thought it looks fantastic, then again maybe I am just so proud with it!

I can hardly believe my eyes when I saw sunflowers along the road outside the National History museum! What's the name of the road again?

Progress

I have not made much progress or preparation on the wedding. It seems to take a back seat now as the completion of the flat draws nearer. I can't seem to take the invites out of my mind though. Although I have pretty decided on the design, there are times when I am so tempted to change it a little. I am fickle in that way, perhaps I should just do them up and I will not have to think about them again!

I am guessing that it will take another week for the flat to be completed. They have wash the bathrooms (well, kinda) and the floors are polished. We have the fans fixed and now, we just need the cabinets and the cupboard fixed. We did add in some custom made shelves for the store room too. I have to remember to buy some toilet fixtures ASAP for the guys to fix them. We forgot the toilet paper holders and towel hangers! I definately need to get those tomorrow! I hate to have to drag that.
