Sisters
Happiness is seeing my 2 daughters having a good time together.
They seem to have a genuine liking each other. Violet will shower Saffron with plenty of hugs and kisses. She will tell Saffron not to cry in the most tender way. Saffron will always turn her head towards Violet's voice and she always always have a ready smile for Violet.

An Afternoon at the Park
I loved that one Sunday afternoon we spent at the park, lying down on the mat in the shade with a little breeze. It was a lovely day. Beats being in the mall on a Sunday!Wednesday, 27 October 2010
Happiness
is sleeping in on a rainy day til noon, roll about in bed with some cuddles, kisses and plenty of laughter with my baby for a little while before tumbling out of bed, wash up and then going out for a lunch together.
Moments like these make it all worth it, makes all the undone chores seem so insignificant. Moments like these make me a happy happy person

LOMO
Only someone who knows me well will get this baby for me. Thank you so much! I feel so bad when it comes to getting you gifts. How I wish I know you better.Thank you so much! Though I have yet to have time to even sit down to load the film, let alone go through the manual!

Getting my Kitchen Mojo Back
Happiness is mucking around in the kitchen.
I spent almost the entire day in the kitchen last Friday. I am glad that I did that. I miss just getting busy in there, messing about all by myself. In the morning, I did a lemon chiffon glow - which really is a fancier name for lemon chiffon cake really. It turned out pretty alright, though I suspect that I should bake it a wee bit longer. Oh and the night before I made some konnyaku jellies again. The Husband loves those things, so I made those once in a while.
The bottle of grappa was the best thing I could find around the house to balance the cake after it was baked. The last time I baked a chiffon was when I was still in secondary school and I really can't remember having to balance the cake upside down on a bottle of something.
I made dinner too on Friday! A meatloaf with an arugula tomato salad. The only photo I have of the meatloaf is the one above. Not too savoury looking since it is raw. But we had a good dinner last Friday :) Tomorrow I will make madelaines!

Day at the Spa
Happiness is a day spent at Spa Botanica with The Husband.
He knows rather well that I didn't want to spend or splurge that kinda money. I have been having aches here and there for a while now. Some days it can be pretty bad, some days, not too bad. Some nights, it is hard to fall asleep because of the aches. Some nights I get aches because I sleep on my side for too long, with the tummy putting a strain on the lower back.
This is his second time buying me a spa package to surprise me. The first time was just after we moved in and I had aches from moving and cleaning the whole house. He wasn't helping out a lot, so he might have felt some guilt! HAHAHAHAHAHA! No, I think he didn't like to see me in pain. It was just before the wedding too so it was a perfect present.
This time was special, because he went with me. We spent the entire day at the spa, me getting a massage, a pedicure and a facial. He even went for a hydro therapy himself! We swam, he used the gym, we had fun at the free form pool and we had a nice lunch. We topped it off with a dip in the jacuzzi. He had a go in a steam bath while I had my treatments. Time sure passed really fast when you are having a good time. We were there at 11am and left at 530pm! I fell asleep when I had my massage, I even fell asleep when I was getting my toes done. It was really that relaxing. Being so relaxed and calm, it was wonderful to feel The Little One kicked and moved during the treatments. That made the day even more special.
It was a really really good Sunday. I do feel very loved and blissfully contented.

Happiness
is hearing my baby's heartbeat on the doppler monitor.
Her heartbeat is a hearty 160/minute!
